Holy smokes, after months of prep and frantic creative work all week long, tomorrow is my official CD release at Sam Bond's Garage in Eugene. Testface, for those who don't know, is my good friend and design guru Dave Snider. He makes melancholy indie rock that also rocks in a 70s metal kind of way with tinges of gloom and hope. He made the poster and he also made this great video:

I had the week off from work, so I used my time for the manic creative pursuit of making a 10-song cassette release, Slow Companion, the idea being that the songs were recorded normally and then slowed down to give the whole set a droopy feel. Dig it! Here's my favorite song, Melted Wax:
AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaand... I've been busy with Tina preparing crazy merch stuff for my CD release show at Sam Bond's Garage next weekend. We've been making keychains, magnets, cassette tapes and much, much more. We will have CRAP FOR SALE to support our poor asses after I spent the entire 2015 fAMILY Vacation budget on releasing my CD, Interim. My good friend and old band-mate Justin at Mustard Relics wrote this great blog post about it:
I know this modified poster is kind of misleading - there are, in actuality, only three people with spiky mohawks in all of Portland, and I'm pretty sure only 2 of them are in bands playing this show. THIS FRIDAY is my farewell gig with my friends, THUNDERING ASTEROIDS! I feel fortunate to have spent the last 18 months practicing and playing gigs and recording CDs with them. They are trying out replacement guitarists currently, I think they have some great players putting in applications, I have heard rumors that several of the best punk-rawk strummers in town are currently vying for the position. I look forward to seeing them play with a new line-up soon. BUT, I'm stoked for this weekend's show, cuz it's GONNA ROCK, 'cuz.
